MRI
Our MRI Services
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) We use a 1.5 Tesla Open Bore MRI to produce detailed images of the brain, spine, joints, abdomen and more. Its wider opening and one foot of headroom help patients of all sizes feel comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a sky mural on the ceiling create a relaxing atmosphere, and our built-in sound system lets you enjoy music during your scan.
Breast MRI
- Screening: Recommended yearly for patients at high risk of breast cancer, in addition to mammograms.
- Diagnostic: Helps determine tumor size and checks for additional lesions in patients already diagnosed with breast cancer.
What Is an Open Bore MRI? The MAGNETOM Sola Open Bore MRI combines exceptional image quality with maximum patient comfort:
- Extra-large opening—ideal if you’re anxious or claustrophobic.
- Spacious design—your feet often enter first so your head remains outside the magnet.
- High power—three times stronger than conventional open systems for the most confident diagnosis.
- Shorter scan times—referring physicians appreciate the fast, high-resolution images. Patients consistently tell us they prefer this system for its comfort and speed.
These services are performed by experienced radiologists, Rodolfo Queiroz, M.D.,Thomas N. Thompson, M.D., Ph.D, and Scott A. Mooney, M.D.
