Education
Education has played an important role at Finger Lakes Health, almost since its inception. As a teaching facility, Finger Lakes Health must keep on top of the latest knowledge in healthcare as well as the newest in technology in order to attract "the brightest and the best."
We facilitate personal, professional, and organizational growth through leadership, collaboration, development, consultation, instruction, provisions of resources and technological support.
We coordinate with a number of local schools, colleges, and the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center to educate students to the multitude of career options in the health care field. Experts from all areas of our health system work with students through a number of programs for all ages.
Our Education Department, which includes higher education programs for licensed practical nurses(LPN) and registered nurses(RN), and our Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA) Program, is a diversified team of professionals who provide learning opportunities to the members of Finger Lakes Health and surrounding communities.
Through affiliation with a number of other educational institutions, the health system serves as a clinical teaching setting for licensed practical nursing, registered nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and pharmacy students. As well as a setting that introduces high school students to the healthcare professional opportunities.
Finger Lakes Health is committed to serving the health care and wellness needs of our community. As part of that commitment, we sponsor a wide variety of personal enrichment and clinical education programs. We even offer computer and other education courses designed to help you maximize your effectiveness at work and at home.
Classes are conducted by dynamic professional educators whose passion and commitment is in providing outstanding and affordable programs. In addition to classes for individuals, we also offer a number of classes that can be "customized" to meet your organization's needs.
