Finger Lakes Health Auxiliaries
Finger Lakes Health has three volunteer auxiliaries, one at each of the main campuses. The auxiliaries support the Mission, Vision and Values of Finger Lakes Health. They serve as the fund-raising arm of volunteer service and offer members the opportunity to support the health system, our facilities, our patients, residents and staff, as advocates and ambassadors in our communities.
Each Auxiliary has its own unique projects to support their specific facilities. The organizations have raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years, with nearly a half million dollars donated in the past 20 years. Those funds have supported acquisition of specialized equipment for our patients and programs dedicated to our Living Center residents.
Geneva General Hospital Auxiliary serves Geneva General Hospital and the Living Centers at Geneva-North and South. It raises funds through a variety of activities, including, but not limited to: fish fries, lottery board drawings, book and gift sales, jewelry and clothing sales and a holiday remembrance tree.
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary serves Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital and The Homestead in Penn Yan. It operates the Peppermint Parlor snack bar and gift shop. The Penn Yan group raises funds with vintage jewelry sales, a military remembrance project, bake sales, book and gift sales, and a holiday remembrance tree.
Taylor- Brown Auxiliary supports Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. It raises funds through a chicken barbecue, a golf tournament, book and gift sales, bake sales, fish fries and other projects.
Each Auxiliary has lifetime memberships available for $50, as well as annual memberships for a small fee. Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting Finger Lakes Health and our facilities, patients and residents.
