We provide a multitude of courses and offerings to enhance your education. We offer ACLS, BLS, Coronary Care, IV courses that follow the NYS guidelines, and much more!

Nurse Residency program

• Finger Lakes Health’s Nurse Residency Program is designed to help new nurses move confidently with a strong foundation into professional practice. At FLH, we recognize your enthusiasm to learn and become a great nurse. We also recognize that you will experience a moderate degree of stress during your transition into hospital-based nursing.

• The Nurse Residency Program is to help you in the transition within Benners novice to expert. Through a combination of classroom, clinical experience and meetings, we will assist you in your skill development while increasing your level of confidence and critical thinking. This 12-month evidenced-based program is a targeted investment in our new nursing graduates. All "new grads" work with experienced educators and dedicated clinical preceptors. The classroom time is to help with skills that may not readily be seen in the clinical setting and help to better retain learned information. Focused clinical experiences ensure adequate orientation to function confidently and comfortably on nursing unit.

Preceptor program

• This program is designed to coach and mentor experienced staff to precept new and existing staff nurses. Evaluate different leadership styles and strategies to enhance practice and learning.
