Finger Lakes Health’s Nurse Residency Programs are designed to help new nurses move confidently with a strong foundation into professional practice. At FLH, we recognize your enthusiasm to learn and become a great nurse. We also recognize that you will experience a moderate degree of stress during your transition into hospital-based nursing.
Medical Surgical Nursing Residency Program Starting August 11, and October 13 2026 at Geneva General Hospital Geneva, NY
Begin Your Nursing Career at Finger Lakes Health! Finger Lakes Health offers a dynamic and comprehensive residency program designed to jumpstart your nursing career. Our one-year residency program begins on Med/Surg, but we’ll work with you to help you transition into other specialized units, including Surgical Services, and the Emergency Department. There is also a new Critical Care Residency specific to the ICU (see below). We’re committed to preparing you to thrive in the unit that aligns with your career goals.

RN Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program
• BSN preferred
• Current New York State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Must have passed the NCLEX exam at least 2 weeks before the start of residency LPN experience will increase the starting rate.
New Graduate RN Hourly Rate: $39.52
Critical Care RN Residency for New Graduates Program Start Date: August 11 and October 13, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital
This program is tailored specifically for new graduate Registered Nurses with a passion for critical care and an interest in the ICU. Our 24-week residency provides an enriching combination of online learning, classroom sessions, and hands-on clinical shifts. Upon successful completion, you'll be fully prepared and confident to function as a skilled RN in the ICU at Geneva General Hospital.
