Lymphedema
Lymphedema is a build-up of protein-rich lymphatic fluid due to a compromised lymphatic system. Lymphedema often affects arms and legs but can affect any area of the body. Cancer, cancer treatments, surgery, infection, cardiac disease or physical trauma can cause lymphedema.
There is no cure for Lymphedema but it can be managed. Treatments include exercises, manual drainage, and compression via bandages, garments and/or pneumatic compression devices. Our mission is to provide treatment for our patients who suffer from lymphedema and help them regain comfort and improve their quality of life.
We offer outpatient therapy in Geneva and Penn Yan. Call 315 531-2577 to schedule an appointment.
