Lymphedema
Lymphedema is a build-up of protein rich fluid in an area of the body. Lymphedema often affects arms and legs but can affect any area of the body. Lymphedema results from an overload to the body’s lymph systems that can be caused by gene mutation, cancer, cancer treatments, surgery, infection, cardiac disease or physical trauma. Our mission is to provide treatment for our patients who suffer from lymphedema and help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Therapy interventions include education, exercises, manual drainage, and compression via bandages, garments and/or pneumatic compression devices.
