CNA

Do you like caring for others and making them smile?
Do you want to help by providing daily support and care to our residents?
Do you want a career path that can take you from CNA to LPN and beyond?

These are just some of the advantages to having a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Finger Lakes Health is proud to offer a paid 4-week Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program that is approved by the New York State Department of Health. Each program consists of classroom, lab and clinical instruction. Upon successful completion of the program you are eligible to take the NYS certification exam and begin working at Finger Lakes Health as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

A CNA is an important part of the healthcare team who help people in need. In addition to basic skills, CNA students learn professional behaviors, the importance of teamwork, and how to provide social and emotional support to the people they care for and work with.

Many certified nursing assistants (CNAs) use their education and experience and take advantage of opportunities for growth in their chosen career. Many employees continue their education by becoming Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs).

When you start the CNA program, you begin your career with Finger Lakes Health. You will be paid during the 4-week training program and upon successful completion of the program you will work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at one of our Long Term Care Facilities located in Geneva, Penn Yan or Waterloo.
