Work and Life Balance

Finger Lakes Health provides a very comprehensive benefits package. For some providers and specialties the hospital will pay:

  • Tuition loan repayment 
    The hospital will pay, as additional compensation, subject to applicable withholding amounts, the monthly payments due under the tuition loans.
  • Relocation expenses 
    Upon proof of payment, the hospital shall reimburse physician for reasonable costs incurred in moving and relocating physician’s household to Ontario County. 
         or 
    Housing Credit 
    Physician will be eligible to receive a loan from hospital to assist physician with securing a home within 10 miles of Geneva, NY.
  • Health insurance 
    The hospital shall provide for health and dental insurance premiums for provider and their family in accordance with the hospital’s insurance benefit program. 
  • Retirement 
    Physician shall be eligible to participate in hospital’s Section 403(b) tax-sheltered annuity plan, but shall not be entitled to receive employer-matching contributions to such plan.  Physician shall also be eligible to participate in Finger Lakes Health's Section 457(b) plan. 
  • Medical malpractice insurance 
    Hospital shall provide and pay for provider’s professional liability insurance premiums for coverage required under this agreement.
  • Sign on bonus 
    Based on education and training, the provider may be paid a sign on bonus.
  • Annual CME days and dollars 
    In addition to paid time off, hospital shall reimburse provider for tuition, room and board, transportation or other costs of physician's continuing medical education (“CME”), including membership in professional organizations, subscriptions to professional journals, and related professional expenses.
  • Paid time off 
    Provider is eligible for either Paid Time Off (PTO) or Paid Safe and Sick Leave (PSSL).
  • Onsite Child Care and Center for Early Learning
