About Me
Dr. Robert Anderson was born and raised in Upstate New York, graduating from Colgate University and SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed the RMED program at Upstate. He completed his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, serving as chief resident, before moving to Penn Yan to join Finger Lakes Health.
Dr. Anderson is the medical director for Keuka College and the Penn Yan Central School District. He also manages concussions for Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He is a Certified ImPACT Consultant, and is interested in managing concussions. Most recently, he was elected President of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital medical staff. He also serves on the NYSAFP Education Commission. Dr. Anderson is a volunteer clinical faculty member of SUNY Upstate Medical University, and regularly precepts medical students and PA students. He recently gave a presentation on Childhood Food Allergies to the NYSAFP Winter Weekend.
Dr. Anderson is board certified by the ABFM. He is a member of the AAFP and the NYSAFP. Dr. Anderson is married and has two children. He lives in the Penn Yan area, and enjoys distance running, golfing, and singing.
