Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital celebrates 100 years of serving the Yates County community this year. As part of its anniversary, the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital Auxiliary invites the community to participate in “Remembering Those Who Served”. The project aims to honor the American flag and ensure that both those who are serving, and those who have served in our country’s military, are honored and recognized. This initiative emphasizes the significance of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, a community hospital named by its founding fathers in memory and honor of the service men and women from Yates County.
For a contribution of $10.00 or more, individuals, families, and organizations can have the name of a service man or woman placed on the “Honor Roll” boards displayed in the hospital lobby during the program. Each donation represents a gift of honor, shared remembrance, and appreciation. The project encompasses Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day.
To participate in this remembrance program, mail a check payable to Soldiers and Sailors Auxiliary with the name of the service man or woman and indicate whether it is in honor or in memory to: Loree MacKerchar, 300 North Ave., Penn Yan, NY 14527. All proceeds from this project will be used by the Auxiliary to support the purchase of new state-of-the-art digital x-ray equipment at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Download order form.
