UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is proud to announce that three new dynamic nursing leaders have joined the organization recently.
Tracey Blanchard, MSN, RN Nurse is the new Director of Nursing, Medical/Surgical, Maura Delehanty MSOL, RN has been named the new Director of Critical Care and Carah Everts, MSN, BSN, RN is the new Clinical Manager of Nursing Operations.

The leadership, professionalism, and talents that Tracey, Maura, and Carah bring to the table will allow us to elevate our nursing team to the next level in this new culture. With our new team of leaders, I am confident we will retain and recruit the best nurses in the Finger Lakes region to care for our patients,” comments Gregory Hoffman-Fragale, DNP, MHA, RN, NEA-BC, CCRN, GERO-BC, CENP, LNHA, Chief Nursing Officer for UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health.
Blanchard earned both her Master of Science in Nursing Management and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from South University in Savannah, GA. She graduated Cum Laude in both programs.
With almost 20 years of nursing experience, Blanchard has worked in hospitals in NY, FL, NC and CA with experience in acute care, medical/surgical, emergency care, trauma and pediatrics. Prior to becoming Director of Nursing, she was the Emergency Department Nurse Manager at UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health, where she oversaw the Brenda & Dave Rickey Foundation Emergency Department at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva and at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan.
As Director of Nursing for Medical/Surgical, Blanchard is responsible for managing nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, developing nursing policies, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Additionally, she collaborates with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and manage budgets within the nursing department.
Delehanty has almost 25 years of nursing experience. She earned her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
In her role as Director of Critical Care, Delehanty is responsible for overseeing the Emergency Departments at Geneva General Hospital and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. Additional responsibilities include managing the ICU, noninvasive cardiology, respiratory services, the float pool, and Interventional Radiology, ensuring comprehensive care across multiple departments.
With experience ranging from being a Certified Trainer for Leading an Empowered Organization®, Assistant Chief Flight Nurse of STAT FLIGHT for Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY and serving as Vice President of US Nursing Operations for The Medicines Company in Parsippany, NJ, Delehanty has a history of improving overall operations including and not limited to, hospital wide patient throughput, organizational nursing leadership and patient access, elevating and improving staff and patient satisfaction, as well as improved operations and efficiencies, providing vision and direction utilizing a collaborative methodology.
Everts has been promoted from Clinical Leader at Geneva General Hospital to Clinical Manager of Nursing Operations. In her new role, she is responsible for the oversight of Clinical Leaders, nursing patient experience related to HCAHPS, a national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients' perspectives of hospital care, agency staffing collaboration, and supporting nursing quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Everts earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing, Executive Leadership from Purdue University Global in West Lafayette, IN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Kaplan University in Davenport, IA.
With over 15 years of healthcare experience, Everts began her career at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo as an Activities Aide. She then worked as a bedside RN in the ICU at Geneva General Hospital and became the Nurse Leader for the ICU. She also served as an adjunct professor for the Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing.
