Fred Vitello has been named treasurer and chief financial officer for Finger Lakes Health. The appointment was announced by Jose Acevedo, M.D., MBA, President and CEO of Finger Lakes Health.




Vitello has 30 years of experience in healthcare working at multiple facilities from critical access hospitals to large teaching hospitals, as well as physician groups. He has held previous positions of CFO, Vice President of revenue cycle/controller, director of Finance and revenue budget manager.




Vitello holds a master’s degree in business administration (finance). Additionally, he is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.




Finger Lakes Health is a community-owned not-for-profit health system that provides a full range of acute and long term care health services to residents of the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York. Services are provided on three campuses located in Geneva, NY (Ontario County), Waterloo, NY (Seneca County) and Penn Yan, NY (Yates County). The 660-bed health system is governed by a common Board of Directors and is served by a common management team. The health system offers a broad range of primary, specialty and sub-specialty services to residents of the Finger Lakes region.
