Hobart & William Smith Educational Partnership
The Educational Partnership Program is the result of a collaborative effort between Hobart and William Smith Colleges (HWS) and Finger Lakes Health (FLH) since 1993.
The objective of the Partnership is to match HWS students interested in pursuing professional, allied health or community health professions, with medical mentors within FLH's multi-institutional health care system. This affiliation provides realistic observership experiences and clinical training opportunities that will allow the students to explore post-baccalaureate levels of health professions while integrating their academic knowledge within a medical facility. The program also provides students with career direction, motivation and experience for interesting personal essays and interview topics. In return, FLH hopes to establish a professional relationship with the students and looks forward to their volunteer assistance in their placement departments.
HWS Students should contact the health professions counselor on campus to learn more about this program. The Finger Lakes Health contact for the program is the medical staff services department.
