Symptoms of a Stroke

A stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. When that happens, brain cells in the immediate area no longer receive the oxygen they need, causing them to die.

The faster stroke symptoms are identified and the patient is transported for care, the better outcomes the patient has.  Each minute that goes by without treatment, millions of brain cells die. Minutes matter!
