The Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing is a one-year, daytime program for those who would like to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN). The Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing is registered by the New York State Education Department, and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. As one of only three hospital-based practical nursing programs in the entire state of New York, students are assured that the education and clinical training they receive is first-rate. One strength of our program is that students earn college credit as well as gain invaluable clinical experience. All our instructors have Master of Science degrees in Nursing, and have many years of nursing experience in various settings.
