LYONS — University of Rochester Medicine Finger Lakes Health is putting the finishing touches on a new primary care practice in Lyons, expanding access to essential healthcare services for residents of Wayne County and the surrounding region.

Lyons Family Health Center, located at 12 Leach Road, is currently accepting patients for appointments beginning August 25. The practice will be led by family medicine physicians, Brandon Towey, MD, and AnnMarie Hansen, DO

Dr. Towey most recently worked at Cambridge Medical Center in Cambridge, NY. He provides care for patients 5 years through adult. Dr. Towey completed his Family Medicine Residency at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA, and attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians.

Dr. Hansen is board-certified in Family Medicine, completed her Family Medicine Residency at Holzer Hospital, Gallipolis, Ohio, and attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Erie, PA. She is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.

Community members are invited to attend an Open House on Tuesday, September 22 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm to meet Drs. Hansen and Towey, and their team and see the new facility.

The addition of primary care services in Lyons reflects URochester Medicine Finger Lakes Health's ongoing commitment to ensuring local communities have convenient access to high-quality healthcare close to home.

Patients of the new Lyons practice will benefit from seamless coordination across the University of Rochester Medicine network, providing access to a broad range of specialty services, advanced diagnostics, and hospital-based care when needed.

In addition, patients will have access to MyChart, a secure online patient portal that makes it easy to schedule appointments, communicate with providers, view test results, request prescription renewals, and manage healthcare information from anywhere.

Lyons Family Health Center joins Finger Lakes Health's growing network of primary care locations throughout the Finger Lakes region, helping connect patients to comprehensive care close to home while offering the resources and expertise of one of New York's leading academic health systems.
