Kinney Drugs Donates to FLH Foundation

Finger Lakes Health’s “Journey to the Best” expansion and modernization project at Geneva General Hospital is the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Kinney Drugs Foundation. The contribution will support construction of two acute exam rooms in the new Emergency Department at the Geneva hospital.

The Kinney Drugs Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Kinney Drugs, Inc., a leading community pharmacy and retail business in New York and Vermont. Created in 2002, the Foundation has donated over $6.6 million to charities.

Finger Lakes Health’s “Journey to the Best” expansion and modernization project was selected by the Kinney Drugs Foundation to receive funds based on the merit of the project and meeting the criteria of the Foundation’s mission: to help people live healthier lives within the communities served by Kinney Drugs, Inc.

Mark Brackett, RPh, president of the Kinney Drugs Foundation, explained that Kinney Drugs’ Finger Lakes-area stores are located in Lyons, Seneca Falls, Trumansburg and Ovid, all areas served by Finger Lakes Health.

“We are pleased to make this contribution to support Finger Lakes Health’s major project. The ‘Journey to the Best’ is aligned with the Kinney Drugs Foundation mission of helping people live healthier lives in our communities,” Brackett said.
